Kim's Worldly Adventure travel blog

Left early this morning, heading past Fox Glacier, and onto Lake Matheson, a mirror lake, that perfectly reflected Mount Cook in its waters. Very cool view, with all the snow capped mountains around. It was then a long day of driving having to go through one of three passes to the east side of the island on our way to Queenstown. Late in the afternoon, we arrived at Wanaka and got checked into our hotel (yes people a hotel, but still with hostel style beds! i.e. bunk beds!) and I went for a walk with a Danish girl, Gitte, and took in a photo exhibition of aerial views of the world. Very cool, also makes me realize that my travel bug is not satisfied, still lots of places in the world that I'd like to see! The evening was very quite since we had bathtubs and tvs in our room, so spent the night enjoying these luxuries.
