|Today we picked up a new bunch of people. There will be 2 trucks travelling together, only 17 to each truck so loads of room to spread out. Kelly my old tent mate got off in Nairobi so my new tent mate is Adrienne from Sydney. We left Nairobi and headed south, crossing the border into Tanzania, we are camping just outside Arusha tonight. Arusha is where the UN tribunals for the Rwandan atrocities are taking place. After we got thru the border today there was a checkpoint further down the road into Tanzania. We all had to show out passports. The cook on the other truck was arrested and taken away! Tonight Justin said that Tanzanians don't like Kenyans working in Tanzania so they found an excuse in his passport - apparently it's almost full and they decided they didn't like that. He's in jail in Arusha and will probably get kicked out of Tanzania. Thank God we have another cook. Tomorrow we go in 4X4's to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.
