|Welcome to our first stop on our new journey! We decided to bring our new home to Ely to share it with my parents & my sister. We also wanted to spend a little time with them as it will be six months or so before we will be back in this area to see them. We spent a few days at Mom & Dad's and then we moved our rig to the KOA campground here in Ely. It was ice & we met some new friends, but we were a little disappointed because we couldn't get Southern sky to try out our new satellite for TV & internet service! But....
Our son & daughter came to spend the weekend with us from Vegas, we went fishing at Comin's Lake for a couple of hours but it was too hot! So, we went to Lehman Caves to cool off! They are so beautiful, you really need to see them if you are in the Great Basin National forest area. Pics of both to follow. We were so glad to spend time with our kids & were sorry to see them leave for home.
It is the 4th of July & we went downtown to the parade. What fun it is to be in a small town for a parade! We are posting a few pics of it our favorite is the car! When the parade was over we decided to take the train ride & it was fun, but not near long enough! Hadn't been on a train since Knotts Berry Farm years ago! The weather was great, unfortunately Mom & Dad weren't feeling well so they weren'table to go. But it took us to Ruth, NV with a steam locomotive & it was fun! Hope you enjoy some of the parade & train photos. We will be leaving tomorrow. We are headed to Casper, Wyoming. So much to see....
