|Well hello again from Paris. Last night Heather spent sometime planning out our day, and as you will see all good plans are due for failure.
We hit the metro at around 10.00am and took it right through to the Eiffel Tower, we purchased tickets and assended to the second level as this was the level Heather was willing to go as she has a thing about heights. We had a fantastic view over Paris siting such things as Sacre Coeur Basilica, Arc De Trimpuhe, Hotel De Invalidis Church etc; The view was spectular and even thought we saw the Rialto??.
We then set off to the Museum D`Orsay and aftre a lot of walking we finally arrived to find it is closed on Mondays. After picking ourselves up off the ground we headed off to Jardin De Tuileries and walked up to the Egyptian Obelisk, took some photos and continued walking for a short period before deciding to go and see an exhibition of Turner, Whistler & Monet in the Paris museum Mamotlan. When we got there the Queue was huge so headed to lunch instead. We found a lovely little restraunt called Le Victory in Avenue Franklin Roosevelt, we sat and ordered and enjoyed our meal & wine with 2 New Yorkers for company. After lunch we returned to the Musuem and waited in the queue for an hour before going in to see these magnificient works of art. Then we set off to see the Arc De Triumphe walking up the Champs Elysees was spectular, Heather & I went out to the centre of the road and took a photo.
After exhausting ourselves we headed home via the metro and collasped back in our room.
I will now lay out for you the plan Heather did for today
1. Visit Pantheon
2. Museum Rodin
3. Museum D`Orsay
4. Museum Jacqumart Andre
5. Sacre Coeus
Now you can see we failed miserably, however might have better luck tomorrow.
Thanks for all the emails from home, keeping us informed of whats going on.
Stephie say hello to all and tell them I will be counting all their miss tints when I return.
Barbie you can let Ian know that we are loosing weight fast so his record will remain intact, also tell him that I`ve thought about a motor bike as well seeing how many are ridden over here especially on footpaths.
Now John I can understand about the Pajero as far as Margaret is concerned but this naming of our respective future Grandchilds name is another thing, Andrew told me that Jacinta he had sold the naming rights to his neighbour Con, so we both miss out.
Au Revior for now will be in touch soon
