Today was a very sad and emotional day as Clare and I parted from our amazing journey together. Clare got the train to Sydney and is then flying back to New Zealand in a few days to start her new adventures there, starting work as a pharmacist mid feb.

Luckily we met a lovely Irish girl on the Red Centre trip who was on the same flight as me to Cairns. Mary had also booked a great deal at The Radisson Tree Tops resort in Port Douglas for 3 nights so I joined her for that. We got a transfer about an hr north from Cairns to the hotel which was gorgeous. Once through reception you walked through the rainforest to get to the accomodation blocks! It was lit with the large flame candles at night and looked amazing.

It was so nice to use fluffy towels again, have a private bathroom and not have a bed above you or be above another bed!!

That night we ate in the hotel, looking over the pool, waterfall and rainforest. This travelling is a hard life sometimes hey!!
