This has been the record so far... 52 hours in a bus!!! We were down in Tierra del Fuego and had to get as close as possible to Santiago de Chile for our flight to Cuba... 52 hours! Anyway, we made it and we even had the time to have one last lovely night in Argentina. We spent one night in Mendoza at the home of a lovely family, whose child was nicknamed 'tsunami' because he simply destroyed everything the little devil found on his way (a traveller had his thousand-dollar digital camera put into a bucket of water and then dipped in sand because the child wanted it to be battered, just to put an example). We were lucky enough to escape the tentacles of this mini-monster and even luckier to find a "tenedor libre" (its literal translation would be "free fork", but its equivalent in English would be "eat as much as you can"). Can you imagine? This was paradise for us. There was soooooo much food in all its different shapes, tastes, varieties, types... there was so much meat (parrillada)! There were even desserts!!! We honestly ate as much as we possibly could and much more. When we left the place, we almost had to take a taxi back home, it was so difficult to move...
Definitely the right way to farewell Argentina!
See you in Cuba,
Idoia & Mikel.
