Alison's 'Round the World' Trip!! travel blog

the big crater left by a volcano!

on our walk!

We made it to the pinnicale!

We stopped at Tower Hill which was a hole left in the ground from when a volcano blew itself up lots of years ago. Then we headed into the Grampian mountains. We went to Brambucks Aboriginal Cultural Centre to learn about aboriginal history in the area.

After we went to the McKenzie Falls where we had to walk down hundreds of steps and then got a lovely view of the falls before having to walk all the way back up again!

Later we went for another walk and climb to the Pinnacle. It was a beautiful walk over rocks and followed a really unusual route up to the top of the mountain to get the most amazing views over the valleys and lakes. That night we stayed at Halls Gap in the heart of the Grampian Mountains.
