We dealt with becoming empty nesters by selling the nest! We quit our jobs, got rid of all our property and belongings except our 1999 Toyota Tacoma and some camping equipment. Our plan is to settle Christopher into college and travel the US and Canada for a few months. We already bought one-way tickets to Australia for December and two seats on a truck across Asia in April. So what the heck do we call this? Retirement? Rambling? Lord, I was born a rambling man, Trying to make a living and doing the best I can, But when it's time for leaving, I hope you understand, I was born a rambling man (make that woman)....Whatever it's called, it's not a vacation. It's a lifestyle.
