The 'North of England Way' west to east |

Welcome to my trip journal! September 2019 was to be my fifth long distance walk in a little under 2 years and my first 'coast to coast' walk across the north of England since undertaking Wainwrights coast to coast trail two years before.
The route this time had a start in Ravenglass in Cumbria south of the traditional coast to coast walk and is advertised as over 203 miles across the Lake district, the Dales and North York moors finishing at Scalby Mills near Scarborough on the east coast.
As an 'old hand' at long distance walking I decided again to use the services of an experienced self guided walking company to transport most of my baggage from prearranged overnight stops to the next resting place. This time I chose 'Brigantes' who did the job when I walked the much longer Pennine way in April 2018.
If you'd like to read the 'blog' please feel free to click on any dates in the list below near the map; that will take you to the page for that day. A simple click on the photos will open them up in sequence. To get from page to page simply click on the forward and reverse arrows.
I hope you may enjoy the 'blog' and that it might even raise a smile or two.
