Larry & Lee Ann's Journey travel blog

Love our new sign...Note the paw prints for Onyx too :)

John says this must be a 'mobile wash', lol!

Nice little buck on Hwy 89 as we headed to Sylvan Lake...

It was cooler today, needed a light jacket for sure...

Pretty...

Lazy longhorns :)

Crusing in front of Mt Rushmore I zoomed this shot in...Not bad...

This is where we pulled off to take it...

Around the corner there was a traffic jam as folks attempted to...

So cute!

Mom just wanted to lick the rocks...

Washington was just off to my left...

On our way back to drop off J & J this was...

And this handsome buck was off to our right...

Heading back home on Sydney Park Rd...It was a great day!

Went to Keystone a couple of days ago to pick up a new sign for our 5'er. I love it, they did a great job! John & Joyce tagged along with us, so along the way we swung by Sylvan Lake (can't ever miss that pretty lake!) They went to see it the other day & missed their turn, wound up on Hwy 16 no where close to the lake! LOL I'm glad that happened as I enjoy visiting Sylvan Lake :)

It started sprinkling a bit & I was concerned the sign shop wouldn't be open but they were. We decided to have lunch at Ruby House & it was good once again. Larry & I split a club sandwich so we'd have room for an ice cream cone afterward. I don't eat much ice cream but this one shop in Keystone has the best! One scoop, which is really the size of three, is $1.50 so it's a darn good price as well :)

On our way back home we cruised by Mt Rushmore & when we got to the backside there were numerous folks, camera in hand, watching a mama mountain goat & her baby alongside the road. Mama was busy licking the rocks while baby clamored around on them, up & down several times. We watched for several minutes before moving on. It was the first time we'd seen them this year. We encountered quite a bit of wildlife on this trip. Turkeys, deer, pronghorn & goats. And a horse too, lol!

Well, that's it for now. Tomorrow is my birthday & we're going for dinner at John & Joyce's followed by an evening of music with a bunch of our friends at the Frontier. Life is good!!!
