We've headed down south 400km to the cute seaside town of Kalbarri!
LizzeeB gave us the inspiration for this town - thanks Liz - it's great here!
Kalbarri is a great place, set on the river mouth opening out to the Indian Ocean. Not knocking Perths weather, because as winters go - it's amazing there, but up here it's much warmer! Blue skies and clear water are the themes of the day here, as we hear that a Right whale and her calf are in the river - but could we find it? Nah! But it's not like whales are huge or anything?!
Well done to Kalbarri for having the slowest internet connection of all time! I don't think they have iinet Dslam yet (um... whatever that is ;-) ). After 30 mins of painstaking patience we give up on emails and go down the pub. That's better! Steak and chips and a bottle of TED. Things are looking better!
We ate in a British Legion type place, complete with bloke with guitar and crap backing music... He did all the Brian Ferry favourites... ;-)
Lots of love from Gareth and Helen
