Firefall, with opening acts Pleasant Valley Sunday and Lawren Erickson, were in concert from 6-9 PM on Saturday up on Pageant Hill right here in Custer, SD! I know, hard to believe :) Local artist Lawren Erickson opened for the first 30 minutes, followed by Pleasant Valley Sunday for the next hour. Lawren has such a smooth, nice voice. And Pleasant Valley Sunday, well they just are too fun to listen too. It was so good to hear hear them play together again! I hope they got the 'fever' and do it again really soon :)

Firefall, a classic '70's rock group from Boulder, CO is known for such hits as "You are the Woman," "Just Remember I Love You," and "Strange Way." They toured with many bands such as The Doobie Brothers and Fleetwood Mac. It was so cool that they added Custer to their touring schedule. I've included a link if you'd like to get a small taste of one of their greatest hits.

FIREBALL

We arrived early and got set up in the second row with an open spot to my left to shoot pics through. I video' d quite a bit as well, but we were so close to the speakers the bass blasted my audio out too badly to share! So you'll just have to take my word for the fact that they sounded awesome, lol!

It was an amazing evening with nice weather, a great crowd and of course a beautiful setting for the concert! Even the band commented on the fact that it was probably the prettiest outdoor venue they've ever performed in :)

Well, that's it for now. Wednesday morning we're joining cousins Wayne & Judy for a short hike to the top of the mountain to the 'Custer' sign. Should be an amazing view from there. We're also grabbing a bite to eat at the Black Hills Burger & Bun afterward, serving up the best burger in the United States, according to TripAdvisor. The travel review website just released its top ten burger spots based on reviews and opinions of millions of travelers.

The owners of Black Hills Burger and Bun say they make everything from scratch and use the freshest ingredients available. And they do!!! We managed to get there three times last year & enjoyed it each & every time. Hopefully the wait won't be too long now that they've announced how great they are to the world. Shhhhh, don't tell anyone else ok? We don't like waiting in line, lol :)
