Sunset on the overnight passage from La Cruz to Mazatlan

Some of the boat show treats were locals dressed in traditional costumes

Staged rescue at the boat show for the Governor of the state...

Hoopla surrounding the Governor, he is wearing an orange shirt.

We finally made the jump to head north after 6 weeks in La Cruz/Puerto Vallarta/Banderas Bay. We were treated to a beautiful sunset after a few hours of rough seas.

We always enjoy stopping in Mazatlan. The food, the El Cid Resort & Marina and most especially the people make this city most enjoyable. On tap for tonight is Carlos & Lucia's for some Cuban food.

Tomorrow, we leave at 6 a.m. and will be taking an inland tour (7 hrs north) to the Copper Canyon, similar to America's Grand Canyon. We are both looking forward to taking a trip inland to see some non oceanic sights for a change.

Hope this finds you well....especially my Dad who turns 77 today! Take care.
