Today's post covers our travel day from Winterset, Iowa to Bushnell, Illinois, approximately 240 miles. It was a beautiful day weather wise and a lovely ride as we traveled through miles & miles of soy bean and cornfields. Nearly all of our trip was on a small 2 lane road and we made more left, then right, then left again's than you can count on all of your fingers & toes combined! Good thing our GPS knows about county roads and midwest country roads in general or we might wander into a corn maze and be lost forever, lol!

RV parks and campgrounds in general are few & far between in this area so we were fortunate to locate the lovely Timber View Lake campground. $17.50 a night PA rate for full hook-ups. We stayed 2 nights and would have actually liked to stay longer but we've got a lot of miles to cover over the next 8 weeks. So, we've already moved on to Springfield, Illinois as you read this & will be here for 3 nights as we explore the state capital & all it has to offer. Thanks for checking in & come back often. There should be plenty to post about as the days, and miles, roll along....
