It was a beautiful day today so we decided to put the boat in on Bismark Lake and do a bit of fishing. Unfortunately, the fish weren't biting, but no matter, we really enjoyed trolling around. There was a light breeze and the sun ducked in and out of the clouds all day.

There weren't many other folks on the lake most of the day. One guy in a kayak doing a bit of fishing and a couple of canoes with teenagers. I tried to play the 'grumpy old broad' card for awhile as I was irritated at their laughing, yelling & goofing off. So I whined and complained at Larry. But after a bit, the 'sweeter' side of me emerged & I realized they were just having fun. Happily, they didn't stay for long & went back around the corner where they originally launched. Ahhhhh, peace & quiet!

There were no deer feeding on the lake shore today but we did enjoy watching the ducks, geese, turtles, osprey and especially a pretty little dragonfly. It was different than any we've seen before with blue tipped wings. As I inched closer for a better view I was able to see a wing that looked a bit bedraggled. Wonder if a bird was gnawing on it?

So, there you have it. We hope to get back out on Friday and try our luck fishing again. It doesn't really matter, it's an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours either way. We sure do love our Paddleski. It's easy to load, launch & store. One of our best RV'ing purchases for sure.
