Roger & Steve, sounding great this evening!

Sure enjoyed the Disney film 'The Vanishing Prairie' here at the Wind...

We had a great evening, starting with a couple of brisket tacos & some really good artichoke-spinach dip at the Hitch Rail in Pringle. Our buddy Steve Gardner & his partner Roger were playing outdoors in 'the corral'. I enjoyed an awesome strawberry/raspberry/blackberry vodka lemonade with my meal too! Afterward, we attended a film showing of 'The Vanishing Prairie', Disney's 1954 production of the studio's True-Life Adventure series. It was a winner of the Academy Award for Best Documentary & well deserved. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we came home & purchased a copy to share with family & friends! Tomorrow the Friends of Wind Cave '100th Anniversary of the Return of the Bison' celebration continues at the Mueller Center in Hot Springs. There will be vendors, food & plenty of other activities throughout the day. And most importantly, Jack Gladstone will be performing. He does some great music, in fact the Somewhere Over The Rainbow/It's a Wonderful World song that our buddies the Ramblin Rangers do was first done by Jack. I found a wonderful Youtube version with wonderful slides and video. Love the horses playing in the snow in it!! You can check it out here:

Jack Gladstone

PS The first song on the video is Circle of Life (not the Lion King one) and then there is a slight pause before the Rainbow medley begins. Check it out, you'll like it!!
