Larry & Lee Ann's Journey travel blog

It was a nice day for our trip today. It's still so...

Nice winery along the way...

I've always liked this bridge...

Chopper overhead through the buggy windshield. I'd like to take a ride...

We had a full day in Rapid City today. Our first stop was at Interstate Battery to replace the two batteries in our truck. They've been a bit sluggish for a couple of weeks now and this morning they wouldn't even start the truck. We put them on the charger and an hour later we were on our way. We ultimately decided to upgrade them to a stronger battery & the truck turns over much better than it has in a long time. Glad that's taken care of.

Next stop Sam's Club for a few items and then on to Bed, Bath & Beyond for doggy steps for Onyx. We're not sure if jumping up & down on our bed hurts her or if she's having a bit of trouble with her vision. Anyway, she jumps up on it just fine but has taken to 'barking' for us to come get her down. These steps will be very helpful for her. And speaking of beds, my pillow has been very uncomfortable for sometime so I finally decided to try a new one. Isn't it amazing how finding the perfect pillow is such a chore? Sister Bonnie loves her new 'My Pillow' so that's what I decided to go with. It has to be put in a dryer for 10 minutes before using so I won't be able to sleep with it this evening...Bummer. I'll give you a review in a couple of days in case you are also in the 'pillow market'.

In addition to the doggy steps & the pillow we also purchased a Nutri-Bullet at BB&B. We had a 20% off coupon for one there so that made it the most affordable price I've found anywhere for one. A couple of our friends use one & they both speak highly of it. Looking forward to adding some healthy shakes to our current eating plan. I'm proud to say that I have lost 20 pounds as of this morning & Larry has lost 19! How cool is that...We're also feeling more energetic & feeling less 'aching' in our joints. Love, love this Phase One diet by Doug Kaufmann. We dined at the Golden Corral while in town & that was a bit scary, lol. Man, it's hard to resist old habits, which include fried chicken, homemade rolls, desserts and the list goes on. We did fairly well, but might skip the weigh-in for tomorrow morning, lol.

A quick stop at K-Mart, Wal-Mart and Dollar Tree rounded out the rest of our shopping experience today. And, I got a much needed haircut. Whew, are you tired yet??? Yeah, me too! We're home now, tucked in for the night. Almost time to hit the sack. We've got line dancing in the morning. So, thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
