Last night Larry & I had dinner at the local VFW The ladies auxiliary host a soup & pie for $5 meal a couple of times a year. There are three kinds of soup as well as chili served and you can come back for as many refills as you like. I had chicken noodle for my first serving & a hamburger stew for my second bowl. Both delicious. Larry stuck with the chili. A piece of apple pie for me & cherry for Larry rounded out our meal. Whew, time to go for a walk. We parked a block or so away so I was feeling better by the time we arrived back at the truck, lol!

Afterward we stopped by the house to pick up Onyx and took a nice drive around Stockade Lake. It was a beautiful evening. There are some large birds nesting on the island this year. Time to get the boat out there for closer inspection!
