A little break and then the car show....See you there!!!

Saturday was the Gold Discovery Days annual parade. Our friends Jay & Sharon were kind enough to lend us their car so we could leave our truck parked in the spot we wanted to view the parade from. Last year all parking spots were gone by the time we arrived downtown to claim one, and that was at 7am! Now if you know me at all you know that I am not a morning person. So this worked out great for me!

We invited a few friends to join us this year and we actually went an hour early so everyone could enjoy a do-nut from the local bakery & a cup of coffee before the parade started. I do love a good Bavarian creme filled do-nut. Light showers were predicted for Saturday but we were blessed with beautiful weather, however it was a bit cooler than in years past.

The parade was great fun, as it is every year. Don't you just love small town parades??? No fancy floats to speak of but lots of 4 legged, 4 wheeled, 2 wheeled & 2 legged participants, lol! And buggy's, wagons, cars, trucks, etc, etc....

Many of the classics are driven in the parade and then parked in the car show for viewing after the parade ends. Nice.

Well, this post is pretty picture intensive so I hope I don't overwhelm you. I took many more so I hope I don't offend any of you that might be reading this and aren't included. Just know that we enjoyed each & every entry. Will cover the car show next time. Enjoy!
