Today it looked like rain so we decided it would be a good day to do inside things. We decided to head to Corning and visit the Corning Museum of Glass. When we arrived it was absolutely pouring down rain. In fact, it was pouring so hard that the parking lot flooded and we decided to go find some lunch first hoping the rain would calm down a little.

After lunch we came back and the rain had died down enough to get inside. We took this bus from the Visitor Center to the Museum.

The demonstrations we watched were really interesting and educational. They also offer classes so that you can make several different items with an instructor. I would have loved to make one of the glass pumpkins for fall. We just didn't realize how much time we could spend here!

The Corning Museum of Glass cares for and displays the world’s best collection of art and historical glass. We really needed a lot more time in the historical section as there is more than 3,500 years of history displayed in the Glass Collection Galleries. We could have spent another half day in this museum there was so much to see and do!
