Mac's 2012 Alaska RV Trip travel blog

Today pretty much felt like a wasted day. A little cloudy and temperatures in the mid 50’s when I got up. I was finally able to get on the RV Park Wi-Fi and upload yesterday’s journal entry. Very, very weak signal. I was also able to log on to a GM dealer and do an online service request to have the water pump in the SUV replaced again. I let them know I have no cell phone service and limited e-mail but asked they reply by e-mail if they can complete the repair on the date requested.

There is no over-the-air TV signal in this area. They have cable at the RV Park but my “A/B” switch is not working and I do not feel like lowering the entertainment center to get behind it to hook up the TV through the window. Even my OnStar on the SUV will not work here.

I decided to go out and look at the “A/B” switch and found a loose connection. I am now able to get a few channels. At least I can watch a little TV today. I do not want to drive the SUV any more than necessary so I will wait until I get to Hyder tomorrow to go watch the bears again.

I did a load of wash while watching part of the PGA Championship. It was cool and cloudy all day but no rain.

I fixed myself a steak for dinner and just took it easy the rest of the day.
