|Sorry about not posting the past couple of days. We've mostly been spending time catching up with the family. Tom and Lisa took us out for a very nice dinner on Tuesday night. Larry had fried oysters and I had jumbo prawns. Yum....Tom and Lisa both ordered razor clams, one of their favorites. Maybe I'll try those next time. Wednesday nights they bowl on a league, so we stopped by to cheer them on. Tom bowled a 210 his second game. Good job son!
Monday night we spent a little time at Don and Kelly's catching up on all the news. Josh has moved out to share a 'pad' with some friends. And Katlyn is off to college in Eugene. Miss Lily is missing her older siblings terribly. But she certainly has many 'babies' and other toys to keep her occupied. She shared one of her 2 tea sets. Anything to do with Princesses is a big hit. I spent a couple of hours on Tuesday visiting with 'the girls'. I don't believe I was this bright as a two year old! We bought her a camera when she was born so that Mom & Dad had to keep us with up-to-date photos. Lily knows how to turn it on, views her favorite photos on the card, and then she makes sure to turn it back off! I'm impressed. And, she can choose her own DVD movie based the on case. She then sits at her own desk to enjoy her selection on a portable DVD player. She can turn it on and fast forward, rewind etc. At age two??? Unbelievable. Walt Disney has a movie out entitled 'Cars'. She can name each and every one of them...ok, enough bragging. But so cute, smart and sweet too! We're very proud of all of them....
Yesterday Larry spent a few hours removing a small portion of the dirt and grime from the front of the 5'er. Along with a million or so bugs. We're using the Dri-Wash we purchased from our friends Mike & Pat McFall. Great stuff. So many places don't allow washing, so this is a perfect alternative. And does a nice job. Hope to have the whole 5'er done in the next couple of weeks. The weather has been clear and sunny with temps in the high 60's so far. Beautiful! Perfect for working outside.
After cleaning up a bit, we headed down to Harris Beach for a bit of exercise. Onyx absolutely loves the beach! We were the only ones there, so she got to run footloose & fancy free for a bit. She was tearing around that beach at a minimum of 60 miles per hour! Well, it seemed like it. My honey got caught on a teeny little rock, surrounded by waves. He hopped his way out of that mess in a hurry! But not before his shoes and socks were soaked through!
Wish I could share the smell and the sounds with you! Guess you'll just have to take my word for how wonderful it is. My pictures don't do it justice. Poor lighting, but I'll try again another day. I hope to be there every day for the next two weeks!
