|Well once again I am several days behind in posting. We are actually in Tacna now, about 40 miles east of Yuma. We just stay so BUSY! LOL...But we do have a great time. I'll catch up in a couple of days okay? And, I have to mention that it was our son Larry's birthday on the 7th. Happy Birthday Son! We love & miss you and hope you had a great day!
Moving on to today's post.....
We are no longer in Casa Grande but we had such a nice visit with our friends Gary & Lynne. Larry and Gary went to high school together and they still have that 'connection'. You know the one I mean.... I still have it with my best friend Judy too. You can be apart for 20 years and when you get together again it's like it was just yesterday. I suppose you guys feel that way too. Right???
Our first evening together we went out to dinner. The next day we took in a matinee, 'Olympus Has Fallen'. It was very good all the way around with great acting and an interesting plot. All 4 of us give it a thumbs up! Worth the ticket price for sure. Now the popcorn and coke price, not so sure about that! LOL
The following evening Lynne prepared a terrific pork loin dinner and the guys watched basketball while we girls chatted about everything under the sun! The third night we enjoyed a delicious meal at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, Cafe de Manuel. The chimi's are amazing!
After returning home we got set up for a game of golf (card game) with Gary & Lynne and Lynne's sister Michelle and hubby Mark. Such nice folks. It was nice catching up with all of their news. Michelle and Mark have been dieting and exercising. Mark has lost 50 lbs and looks and feels great. Michelle looked just right to me before she got started so of course she's perfect right now! Wish I had their determination, lol. I'd love to take off a bit myself. Just haven't found the motivation to get going? Soon!
Lynne is busy making beautiful quilts. She's doing an International one right now. I'm posting the first few squares she's finished. Of course they still have to be sewn onto the background. Wow, all the small pieces are amazing. I admire her patience and handiwork. Very nice...And Gary still golfs each and every week. I hear he's pretty darn good at it.
So that's it for our time in Casa Grande. It went by way too fast but we enjoyed spending time with our friends. You never know how much time we have left on this great planet. I read the other day that we should 'Seek to Invest in True and Constructive Friendship'. So that's our goal....Thanks for stopping by!
