BACKGROUND

Here’s what the Smiling Albino’s – Myanmar – All That Glitters, Asia’s Golden Land Brochure – 2014 has more to say about the evening adventure:

“Tonight’s main event is a boat ride on the grand Ayeyarwaddy River. We’ll relax on a sandbank (tides permitting) from the thousands of temples explored and enjoy some sundowners. With the peaceful river scenery and the sun setting we can reflect, relax and enjoy drinks and light snacks.”

KAPOORS ON THE ROAD

We had been kept so very busy by the Smiling Albino’s Canadian guide, that I didn’t have time to read all the information provided in the special brochure the tour company had given us when we arrived in Myanmar.

For that reason, I was completely unaware of the plans to have cocktails on a sandbank in the middle of the Ayeyarwaddy River! We both much preferred being surprised…it was an amazing end to a very eventful day!
