|Another busy week has flown by. Oh my, how time marches on. I've been working on a project for our grandson Ryan and felt like I was making good progress until we received a call from him one morning. His recorded message said something like "hi grandma and grandpa, it's Friday morning about 9:15am, please give me a call". He then said a few other things that Larry couldn't make out so he asked me to listen and translate. I did, and afterward said to him "this must be an old call that we somehow missed because he said it is Friday morning and this is Tuesday". Hubby then informed me that it WAS Friday! I replied...NO, that's not possible! Checked the calendar and yep, sure enough, it was Friday. Bottom line, we were scheduled to spend Saturday with Ryan and I didn't have my gift to him ready. Arghhhh, guess we need to purchase one of the clocks Camping World offers. It doesn't have numbers on it at all. Just has hands that point to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc etc etc....LOL
Anyway, Larry picked Ryan up at his hotel (he was here for 3 days with his family to celebrate his Mom's birthday) at 8am and brought him back to the house. After breakfast and a nice visit with his Uncle Larry & Aunt Bonnie we drove out to Hoover Dam. It's been years since Ryan saw it and there have been some mighty big changes since then. Afterward we stopped for a short visit with Bill & Kenny and then made a quick stop at Larry & Tawnia's so he could meet Miss Jasmine and Levi. All too soon it was time to get him back to the hotel for his dinner/show that evening. He went to see George Strait and Martina McBride...Sure would have loved to gone to that show. $300++ for tickets though, too much for us right now. I believe Ryan's ticket was a Christmas gift, nice huh? It was a great day and we were reminded once again about what a great grandkid we have.
Saturday evening we went to a surprise birthday party for our niece Ashley and Sunday we attended a super bowl party at Bill and Cindy's. But more on that later. Gotta run for now, but thanks for checking in. We appreciate all of you readers out there! Have a great day...
