|Just a short one tonight to let you know that we arrived in Casper safely about 4:30 this afternoon. Boy, were we ever ready to be here. There wasn't much too see for the last 3 hours or so, just lots of wide open space. I slept for the last hour & missed a couple of pronghorn, which was the major excitement for this trip!
We joined a long line of rigs waiting to check in when we arrived, but fortunately I had called ahead & made a reservation, something we rarely do. We have a nice long pull-through & they honor Passport America for 3 nights, so we have 50 amp service for $20 a night. We could have gotten by with 30 amp (in fact prefer it because our surge protector is for 30 amp) but those spots were all taken. That's because they are $15 a night with PA...ah well, should have called sooner!
We had dinner with my Uncle Ed & Aunt De at a terrific Chinese buffet so I was very pleased! Decided we'll do Mexican food a different night. They have a large Smith's supermarket here so I will be grocery shopping tomorrow, that's exciting. And a Super Wal-Mart, also exciting! Wow, who would have ever guessed we could be excited about decent shopping??? LOL And, best of all, diesel fuel is only $4.45 a gallon here! Whoppeeee, the best we've done in a while is $4.70 so we are happy campers!
Larry can't wait to get the Sea Eagle on the water. Probably Monday. It is very green here & the river is high. I plan to put in on the very lazy part of the river, don't know where Larry is going. We need to work our way up to Class II & III. Many of you read Howard & Linda (of RV Dreams) & are aware of their little mishap. I plan to stay upright in the water, thank you very much! High & dry, LOL.
So, thanks for checking in & talk to you soon....
