Summit, SD

Wheat

We drove in some heavy rain yesterday. Last night we had thunder and lightning which made for some good sleeping with the widows open, we both slept in until 7:30. That was nice. We drove northwest into South Dakota on the secondary roads. We've tried to stay off the interstates as much as possible which is why we don't make many miles. We drove up Summit hill, 7 mile climb. ( pic) A little further on we came upon a giant pile of wheat on the ground, they must of had quite a harvest. (pic) They were loading it on a train. A real nice day today, 75 and a gentle breeze. Another windows open night tonight!
