Today was an easy drive to Pierre Grey’s Lakes Provential Park AB. The elk blocked our exit from Whistler campground and we saw mountain sheep and deer on th drive. Finally we had a campfire and I roasted hotdogs and played an international version of Groundies at the playground. Dad had a hard time getting backed into our campsite and some “locals” had to help him.
We had an elk bugle as our wake up call this morning at about 0500. We are uncertain if it was a confused elk (we thought they only bugled in the fall) or an early rising human with a strange sense of humor and an elk call.
