Leslie finaly got two weeks off from work.We headed out to Memphis to visit Elvis.First we stopped in Pa.to see Frank Lloyod Wrights,Fallingwaters house.A beautiful home built on a waterfall in central Pa.Then we went to the Flight 93 Memorial in Shippenburg,Pa.A moving sight with time to reflect on our troubled world. From there we moved to Shenendoah National Park. The Blue Ridge Parkway was spectacular and the mountains were aglow with beautiful color. We stopped at Luray Caverns and took the tour.I had never been in a cavern before and found the stalagmites and stalagtites quite interesting. From there we moved to Panther Creek State Park in Tennesee where we needed to rest for a few days so that Leslie could get some medicine for her strep throat....poor Leslie! Then we moved on to Memphis and the Missisippi.Met up with our friends Bec and Jim Rodgers from Missisippi, they worked with me in Wyoming.Spent the day with them visiting Graceland and Beale St.Took the carriage tour thru downtown Memphis with a stop at the Peabody Hotel and a rib feast at the Rendezvous. It was a great visit but too short. Then it was time to start heading back to Ma.First we stopped in Nashville and visited Opryland, all lit up for Christmas. Then we stopped at Natural Bridge in Virginia, stayed two nights and realy enjoyed the bridge and surrounding Blue Ridge mountains including Otter Peak. Then it was off to Hershey Pa. as our last stop. All in all a great time minus the strep throat which I now have!
