Larry & Lee Ann's Journey travel blog

Our Passport America Park here in Coos Bay...

Each site is a bit tight but there is plenty of privacy...

Pretty shoreline along our way...

Isn't the water beautiful?

I liked the black rocks & shoreline in this area...

So wild and untamed...

Back to blue skies & pretty scenery!

A bit further it grayed up again...I hung out the window for...

Bridge leading into Gold Beach...

Oh my, is this not a beautiful stretch of road!!

Pretty...

We've arrived!!

We pulled out of Coos Bay around 11am to pretty skies and a mid 60's temperature. Grateful for that as rain was predicted for the day. It was a lovely drive as we made our way south on PCH 101. We made several stops along the way although not near as many as I would have liked. So most of today's pics were taken at speeds varying from 35-55mph. I was especially sad to fly by the Port Orford area, it is truly beautiful. Perhaps we'll make it back on a day trip, but with lots of rain in the forecast, it's doubtful.Sure looking forward to the next week and time with the family. It's been far too long since we've been to Brookings!
