|Today's post covers one day last week when we took a drive to Bandon to frolic on the beach. Well, sort of. You don't do much frolicking in October! But we did have a great time checking out the Coquille River Lighthouse and watching a couple of harbor seals, sea gulls & a whole lot of surf. The ocean is so mesmerizing. I really could sit by it for hours and if I lived in this area I would be down there regularly.
Afterward we headed back into the Port of Bandon where we visited Weber's Pier. We enjoyed some chowder at the Chowder House and did a bit of Christmas shopping. Yep, I said Christmas shopping. That part was unintentional but while searching for my new Oregon t-shirt we happened to run across a couple of things the grandchildren need to own, lol. You know how that goes. Wish I had unlimited funds, I could have a field day. I have to keep reminding myself that we have limited space, I don't really need that (I just want it, lol), and that it really is quite freeing to not be owned by 'stuff'.
Well, I'll quit babbling on this morning as it's time to get ready to check out the redwoods at Stout Grove! One of our VERY favorite places. So, thanks for checking in & come back soon. Have a great day!
P.S. There's a short video today! Enjoy :)
