Larry & Lee Ann's Journey travel blog

It's stopped raining here at our first stop at Foggerty Beach...

I love the ocean & the beach...

Love the color in the shoreline here...

And the water here...even the algae is pretty!

At our next stop, Bullards Beach, we encountered this guy trying to...

Trying to escape, lol!

But it was not to be...he was gulping him down pretty well...

Lovely homes above the sea caves...

Moving on after lunch...

Check out how the wind has 'laid' this tree off to one...

We crossed the Rocky Creek Bridge...

Driving along the pretty Otter Loop Drive, one way of course...

Every turn-out is so pretty! And there are plenty of them:)

Like the colors here...

And here at the Punchbowl...

Almost home, this host tree stump is nice in the Siletz Bay...See...

Today's photos were taken on a day trip we made to Depoe Bay, which of course is not far from our campground near Lincoln City. We tried to wait it out for nice weather but the rain just doesn't seem to want to quit. So, we put on our jackets (with a hood for the rain drops) and took a drive. We also stopped for a bowl of chowder at the Chowder House. Very good I might add. I'm learning to actually like it, which I didn't for most of my life. I've noticed a change in my taste buds in recent years which is a good thing I suppose. It has certainly broadened my diet/menu.

As usual I'm running several days behind in posting. We are actually in Brookings now, visiting with family. Some of you are Facebook friends so you've seen a few pics taken here in Brookings. But I still want to share a day trip to Bandon & our drive here from Coos Bay as I know you'll enjoy some of the scenery along the way. I'll try to do better, but the truth is I'm having a bit of trouble sitting right now. I went to the Chiropractor this afternoon & I'm hoping to see a big improvement by tomorrow. And Kelly really worked on a deep tissue massage this evening & I know that helped as well. Too much sitting/driving both inside & in the truck. So, more walking, yoga, standing & water for me. And, we're going to set an alarm when watching TV for every 20 minutes. Doc recommended that we stand, stretch & take deep breaths to improve blood flow, blood pressure etc. He says it will make a world of difference. And no late night TV or computer work anymore. And more 'dim' time. No, not my brain silly, I mean the lights, lol! When it gets dark outside it's time to dim the lights inside to bring the body down for more restful sleeping etc. Ok, what can it hurt??? And, it's supposed to help you lose weight...now that would be a big plus!!
