|With great expectations the couples reuniting and travelling together to Nashville, both rigs started out from separate locations. Bob and Don from Lake Lanier. Shirley and Jeanne from Rome GA. We guys had further to travel so the girls were waiting an hour after we left to pull out. 10 miles from the campground Jeanne pulled into a Kmart parking lot and let Shirley off to return an item. Jeanne felt the breaks were suspect and did a lot of testing. The breaks were failing. Jeanne called Don and we diverted south to Rome (about an hour). A mobile service guy was there shortly after we got there and checked the camper breaks which were fine but the truck breaks had a major fluid leak in the driver's rear wheel. Being a Sunday there was no way to fix the truck. We had a nice lunch at Chili's complements of one of Don's relatives(?) who gave him a gift card as a thanks for getting them into Disney and then headed off to Nashville. This morning Don told me it is a major repair and there is not a part to fix it in Rome. They went to salvage yards to look and they FOUND it. Hopefully, they will be able to complete the repair and Don and Jeanne will be able to join us. The trip to Nashville was OK. The interstate at Chattanooga is horrible. Crummy surface, narrow and construction, along with a long funeral procession. Rained and hailed last night but all looks OK today with our rig. Off to do some neat things we hoped to be enjoying with our travelin' buddies. Good to have Shirley back. Now the pictures will be better. Enjoy them.
