We wrapped up our rally 'greeting' week yesterday afternoon. Whew, it was fun but we were sure beat every afternoon! I don't know how the women wore the undergarments & long skirts everyday! Very warm & a real pain to get on & off, especially when using the restroom. We really had a great time hanging out with the Chamber of Commerce folks here, they made us feel very welcome...Especially Dave Ressler & Mitch McLain. Thanks to all of you for lending us our 'outfits'. That includes the 1881 Courthouse Museum & Mary at 4 Mile Old West Town, both located here in Custer of course. Maybe we'll get invited back again next year!

On Wednesday this past week, we joined Dick & Lou and Rick & Peggy at the Wheel's West Rv Park for some great baby back ribs followed by music from our good friends Brad & Bonnie, aka the Ramblin' Ranger's. We LOVE listening to them play & were treated to Larry joining them in a tune. Well, he was supposed to join in, and sing one simple word 'YIP', which he managed to do late each & every time!!! He cracked us up, but he loved it!

Thursday evening we enjoyed a pot roast meal at Dick & Lou's and afterward launched our Sea Eagle Paddleski at Stockade Lake. Dick & Lou just purchased a Bass Boat & were taking it in for a maiden voyage, so we decided to do an armada. Do two boats actually make an armada??? LOL It was sprinkling when we arrived but it only lasted a few minutes so the rest of the ride was quite lovely. I wore a sweatshirt jacket but it was only cool the last few minutes. A great way to unwind at the end of the day. And the sunset was pretty special as well...loved the reflections in the water.

Friday we had dinner at the VFW. We like to support the Ladies Auxiliary so we try to attend their steak/soup & pie events. This fund raiser is for an elevator in their historical building. Afterward we headed home to watch a bit of the days Olympics before hitting the sack. Today, Saturday, we are putting our feet up & doing absolutely nothing! Well, Larry's trying to catch up on e-mails & paperwork and I'm downloading & resizing pics to put in this post! So, that's it for now. Hope you all have a nice weekend, we certainly plan too....Thanks for stopping by!
