Xmas coming...Argyle St. Camden

9th November

Nearly, this morning we begin our trek home.

After enjoying our stay in Forster. The weather has been warm but very windy at times.

Filling in our time with lots of walking and watching the dolphins ride the waves. Tried to get pictures but they were too fast.

Heading down towards Sydney we will leave the highway at Raymond Terrace heading through Maitland to the Putty road. The roadworks are completed and with the bypass of Bulahdelah open it is smooth sailing. Once we turn off the highway the traffic is heavier and slower.

The Putty Road is slow going winding and very hilly in some places.

We are planning to spend the night at the Grey Gums Cafe about 90 kms from Windsor. We are seeing lots of warning signs for motor cyclists. Think this must be a favorite race track for them. Has taken us about 4 hours from Forster. This rest stop doesn't have much shade, plenty of flies but the cafe does excellent meals. We are seeing smoke and smelling fires but thankfully we can't see any flames.

10th November

We wake this morning to find that it has been raining. Hopefully it has fallen in the right places for the bushfires. A quiet night, only three vans in overnight. This morning we are heading to Camden where we will spend the night at Poplars Van Park, before heading home.

A cooler morning with drizzling rain. Still on the Putty road we will pass through Colo, Wilberforce and Windsor. The road is in good condition but with some steep climbs. The scenery is beautiful.

We arrive in Camden mid morning, fine misty rain is making us feel and bit cool.A good look around Greg's old stomping ground.
