Well, we are definitely winding down! This morning we lay in for a while then had a leisurely breakfast while reminiscing about trips past, aided by a log we have kept of the places we have camped since we got our first fifth wheel - now 23 years ago.
We tidied up and went for a walk round the campground and across the road to a park where there is a play park and a trail along the River Sheep. It is quite nice and obviously well used with many children and families playing on the bank and in the water.
We returned to the trailer and had a light lunch then did some cleaning and tidying away in preparation for our return.
We had dinner then I emptied the fresh water tank and got things ready to winterize the water system in the morning. I know, I know it is only July. However we will not be long home till we leave for Europe and it is much easier to do this job where you can be hooked up and have access to water and sewage. We then packed up the dry groceries and some clothes, starting to fill the truck to save time when we reach the place where we store the trailer. This is one of the penalties we pay for not being able to store the trailer at our home.
Tomorrow should be our last day, travelling via Calgary and Red Deer to Edmonton, drop the trailer and home to Sherwood Park.
