We moved down into Coachella Valley to stay at our other membership "home park", Indian Waters Resort in Indio. It's nice and warm down here in the valley for winter. We'll be here for 3 weeks before heading east for the summer.
We heard from a friend from our sailboating days that the "sailing club" was camping in Borrego Springs and invited us to come visit. We drove south past Salton Sea then west into Anza Borrego State Park to Borrego Springs. Along the way we were passed by a Harley Davidson group that came out from Salton Sea and passed us, forming a long line in front of us on the highway. It was an awesome sight.
Our trip into Anza Borrego Park was lovely and colorful. We couldn't get any photos of some of the small colorful flowers, but our highway was lined with bright yellow plants and the desert was filled with huge Ocotillo plants in full bloom with brilliant red tips.
We enjoyed our reunion with the old boat gang, and joined in their yummy pot luck dinner. We had a great time remembering sailing trips and telling stories on each other.
