Mayasa volcano

Eagles - no, wait...

The Rhoades' at the airport!

Up at 5:00 AM and finish packing, then hand key off to security guard as our driver showed up at exactly 6:00 - and it was Omar from a couple days ago!

Ride to the airport was pretty uneventful – low traffic to start then it picked up as we got closer. Dis see a big flock of buzzards arguing overs something on the side of the road.

At the airport Kitty had to put the hammock into her check in as the guy said it would be confiscated at security – so we repacked a bunch of stuff, dropped our bags – and went shopping for some last-minute stuff. The stores seem fascinated with people pooping as there were many tiles – including Trump – of people on the toilet.

We got to the gate and waited a bit and boarding was no problem. Flew right next to Masaya volcano – lots of volcanoes to say the least.

Flight to San Salvador was uneventful and we got there in plenty of time. Through security again and right onto our flight. That was pretty uneventful as well.

Into Dulles and we used Mobil Passport – which wasn’t working! But we did get through quickly. Most unusual, we met the Rhoades’ – an old student and CVCC colleague – in the passport line and again waiting for the shuttle. We chatted briefly then the shuttles arrived and we headed to the hotel where all was well.

The only problem with the trip was that it was much too short!
