Historical building on Merdeka Square

Upside down house

From Singapore, we flew into Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Spent a few days exploring this big, bustling metropolis. Saw some famous city sights...KL Tower, Petronas Towers, and Merdeka Square. Took the canopy walk which consisted of several connected suspension bridges through a forested area of the city and then a funny visit to the Upside Down House.

The highlight in this city, however, was the FOOD! Street food and sit down dinners alike, and the most extraordinary experience was eating at Dining in the Dark. We were served a four course meal in complete pitch black, having to use our senses other than sight. The restaurant employs blind and visually impaired servers to act as your dining "Guides".

Next, train trip to Butterworth and then a ferry to Panang island!
