Feb. 25 – Visit to the Edison-Ford Estates in Fort Myers

We had perfect weather for touring the Edison-Ford Winter Estates this morning. We arrived before the multitudes and took the 10 AM guide-lead walking tour after walking through the museum.

Ohio-born Edison had 1093 patents to his name in the many different subjects. The tour guide shared many interesting about the man and his family.

There were many different flowers in the estates’ lawn and took advantage of them and used my new Canon macro lens and T2i DSLR camera. So, most of today’s Journal entries are of flowers.

For lunch, we dined at our friend’s recommended Italian restaurant, Paesano’s, in Coral Gable. The food was great and the ambience memorable.

Tomorrow, we will take my Groveport High School band director and his wife out to lunch and visit a few more quilt shops in Cape Coral and Fort Myers.

Have a great weekend.
