Hi. We made our way to Luang Prabang, Loas and have visited the former King's residence. It was very interesting to see the opulence of the entertainment areas vs. the King and Queen's private areas such as dining room, bedrooms, reading rooms which were very plain in comparison. We also visited a majestic water fall and climbed to the top to get a bird's eye view. It was a steep climb that put our muscles and dexterity to the test but well worth it. Our group dined together at a local restaurant where guests BBQ their dinner right at the table. Lot's of fun. We visited with monks at a local temple. Many are boys between 15-18 who have left broken or poor homes for a better life as monks. We gave a donation to one young boy who wants to improve his English so he can attend university. We closed off our visit by attending a performance of local dance Next stop is Viang Vien.
