|We had an incredibly busy past three days as we headed back to Nevada for Easter weekend. We arrived in Vegas Saturday in time to enjoy a wonderful meal with Bonnie & Larry. Bonnie prepared an entire turkey dinner with all the trimmings including homemade pumpkin pie. It was delicious. Sunday morning we attended an amazing Easter Service and then headed home to change before heading over to Bill & Cindy's to join a large gathering of family & friends. The children all enjoyed their annual Easter egg hunt & it was fun to see them all decked out in their Easter finery.
It was good to see Larry, Tawnia, Miss Jasmine & Levy. We've only been gone two weeks but it seems much longer. Tawnia's Dad Sal & his wife Jackie were in town for the week, visiting from Canada, & it was nice to visit a bit with them too. And of course Bill, Cindy & family as well as Jared, Ashley & Madison. Madison is 10 months old now & she's a cutie. She thoroughly enjoyed her new bubble machine. I think all the people, candy & stuffed animals were a bit overwhelming for both Levi & Madison but the older children's egg hunt was certainly a big success. Especially the silver & gold eggs that contained cash prizes. The lucky finder of the gold egg Riley, received $20 and she was one happy young lady! I think Miss Jasmine found $2 in her silver egg and already has a purchase in mind for it. I hope you all had an enjoyable day celebrating the resurrection of our Lord as well. God is so good...
Later in the evening we paused for a moment to have a little birthday celebration for our son Larry. His birthday was actually Saturday & it seems just impossible that he has reached the ripe 'old' age of 41 already! Wow, amazing. We'd eaten so many fabulous desserts earlier in the day that he opted for a small 'Hunk' of cheesecake to perch his candles on. Of course he was serenaded with the 'family birthday tune' which you really are blessed to not have to actually hear! It is really loud & really bad, lol!!!
Monday morning we ran a few errands which included purchasing a new bbq grill at Camping World. Our old one is just tired & we're hoping we made a good decision in choosing the Olympian grill over the baby Q. We were really torn. The difference in size was the deciding factor in the two as we are really hurting for storage space even though we keep trying to thin things out. We arrived home to pick up Bonnie & head to a matinee showing of the newly released 100th anniversary edition of 'Titanic', done in 3D. It was amazing! It's been many years since we first saw the movie & we kewn we enjoyed it the first time around. But, we ALL really loved this version. Highly recommend you go to a theater with a BIG screen & GREAT audio while it's still out there. It's 3 hours & 15 minutes of heart pounding fun!
We arrived back home, here at Willow Beach, about 9pm last night, tired & ready to once again be back in our own bed. Isn't it amazing how much we all enjoy our 'own beds' after vacationing? We always take our pillow along as we have this silly notion that we can't sleep without them & that helps, but I guess it's having the whole package that really counts, lol. It took us an hour to unload, you'd think we'd been gone for a month. But we're all settled in again & ready to put our feet up & relax for a day before we finally get out on the beautiful Colorado River. There's reports that they are slaying it around here with the big fish. We can't wait to hook a few up! Rain, rain stay away, it's supposed to be headed our way. Hope the weather man is wrong! Have a great day dear readers....
