Home in time for a beautiful sunset

April did not start off well but gets better as time passes. Dick's second visit to the VA confirmed that he did have an infection in his toe and a suggestion that he see his doctor in NY when we get there. We enjoyed Leatherheads and Nims Island just for some R&R and to keep Dick off his feet.

The Turquoise Trail is a scenic ride along the east side of the Sandia Mountains. It was an overcast day but a nice day for a ride. The trip up the mountain reminded us of our friends in upstate NY who have had a little snow this winter. It's such a great thing in this area to be in the desert and the snow within a few miles. We love seeing all the adobe style buildings everywhere and I think if we ever decided to go back to a fixed house adobe would be high on the list. It's been good to take time to smell the desert and enjoy the sunsets.
