|Angkor Wat, the real thing!
Our second day in Siem Reap we mostly dedicated to visiting Angkor Wat, the mother of all wats. Angkor Wat is the largest temple in the area and according to our guidebook, believed to be the largest religious building in the world. It was never completely abandoned like the other temples and therefore is in much better shape than most.
We spent most of the afternoon climbing around. And boy are those stairs steep and narrow! As the afternoon wore on we saw the sun changing the colors on the temple. The temple, unlike most other temples, faces west so it caught some beautiful rays.
This entry really is the second part of the previous entry, so I won't belabor with any more long thoughts or lengthy explanations. Just enjoy!
