|We went to Church, stayed for the fellowship hour and had a wonderful time talking with folks. Then on to more adventures. First stop was a little fishing town a woman told us about in a recent campground. We were heading for Tenants Harbor but blew by it before we knew. We drove the scenic highway a few miles further until we came to Port Clyde ME. There was a sign for a light house and we went to investigate. It was a beauty and it was such a perfect weather day. Oh the splendor of the waves hitting the rocks surrounding the light. We visited the free museum and looked at the many artifacts displayed and read a note about a scene from the movie Forrest Gump being filmed here. Yes, THIS is the light house Forrest touched when he was running. Remember, he'd crossed the country, touched a light house and then started back the other way. They had a book with all the pictures of the event. It was very neat indeed. We did get back to Tenants Harbor for lunch and on the way again. We travelled Through Boothbay Harbor and saw another light house at the very end of the road. Any further and we would have launched the rig. We pulled into a very expensive campground for the night but it was the only one around. They put us in a nice site and it was right next to the laundry which we needed to do. It was very convenient. More adventures await us today in this very beautiful state. Enjoy the pics.
