|We are in Acadia National Park on the east coast of Maine. We have been here before, once in 1975,again at a BF'er Banquet and now. This is the 18th National Park of our great adventure. When we arrived to the visitor's center about 1 PM they told us the closer of 2 campgrounds was full and the other campground had just 5 spots left. I reserved one and had to be there within the hour. Well it is not close at all to the visitor's center and we got lost. It's laughable but we ended up on top of Cadilac Mountain! Well we wanted to see the view from up there anyway. So we finally made it. Some readers will remember Southwest Harbor, well we had to go thru it to get to our campground. It was a beautiful day and we took to our bikes for about 5 miles and peddled along the coastline and thru the various loops of the campground. The view was outstanding even though it was low tide. We are here for a couple of days and then heading down the coast of Maine. Having a GREAT time. September is a beautiful month. In fact, some of my favorite people have birthday's this month. Sorry but our internet is VERY poor and photos will come as we are able. They are on. Enjoy the pics.
