Meet Joyce & John Tyo....

What a nice couple, sure hope we meet again down the road...

Isn't this cool!

Lynne & Gary with their popcorn machine, it makes great corn!

Their baskets and feeders draw a bounty of different birds...

Including this pretty little hummer...

Lynne's Christmas village, very nice...

As I mentioned in my last post we were staying at the Sundance 1 while in Casa Grande. They had a cool Christmas decoration on the corner as you drove down the main entrance into the park. Reindeer pulling a 5th wheel, with Santa at the reins, while hanging out the door! We loved it, too cute.

We drove to Phoenix on Sunday to have lunch with John & Joyce. What a nice couple! We spent several hours together and couldn't believe how fast the time passed. It truly felt like we had known each other all of our lives. I guess you sometimes meet folks that just click and that certainly happened with this couple. Joyce has been following our travels for 4 years so she had a decided advantage in her knowledge of us. She has been blogging for a couple of months so we did brush up on them before our meeting. They are new full-timers and it was fun sharing a few of our early disasters, a bit of good advice, and hopefully a few suggestions of places to see & things to do that we thought they might enjoy. You can check out their blog and maybe send them a bit of encouragement too? I'm sure they would appreciate hearing from you. Link to their blog:

Saturday we went to Mesa Market as scheduled. We had a good time, found a few things to purchase and enjoyed everything but the weather. Oh my, it was COLD, windy, rainy & we even had a bit of hail! We had a roof over our heads, but the market is outdoors, and it was not a great day to brave the elements. We stopped for a bite to eat before returning home. After visiting a bit, Lynne broke out their hot air popcorn maker complete with flavored butters & toppings. A neat gift they enjoy using. Sunday Lynne prepared an entire turkey dinner complete with all the trimmings. It was really tasty and I really appreciated getting a 'late' Thanksgiving meal. Lynne's sister Michelle & hubby Mark came over for a couple of hours and we enjoyed a rousing game of golf. Not the outside kind, a card game! We ended the evening with warm apple pie & vanilla ice cream before saying our goodnight's and goodbye's. We pulled out fairly early Monday morning, destination Las Vegas. But more on that later....goodnight!
