We are finally out of NY State and in Vermont. On our way we had a couple of neat stops. First we went to the Eisenhower Lock in Massena NY. It appeared we would not see a ship so we went to the visitor's center and learned about the development of the St. Lawrence Seaway (what an engineering marvel). As we were leaving a Canadian Coast Guard ship did come through the lock. Next we went to the Moses/Saunder's Power Dam visitor's center which was excellent. This dam is one mile in length. Then on to Vermont and our campground. It is Labor Day weekend and all campgrounds are full. I was surprised that the camp we are in said we could stay in their field for FULL PRICE. But when we got here the owner had electric and water set up for us and this campground is a beauty. Right on Lake Champlain and kept up immaculately. They have many seasonal campers and the park models (permanent) are really nice. This is, perhaps the nicest private campground we have been in. It is now September and we couldn't be in a better part of the country for the fall colors. Oh, for baseball fans Major League rosters expand today. Enjoy the pics.
