What a sunset

We had a great day yesterday in the Thousand Islands and the weather continued to cooperate with clear skies and temps in the upper 80's. First we went to the quaint little town of Fineview to walk around then on to Clayton NY to an indoor craft show held at the local ice arena (no ice yet). Don and Jeanne's friends Phil and Linda (dinner partners the night before) were vendors selling their hand made leather products. We walked around Clayton and stopped for lunch at Bella's right on the seaway. We had been there 6 years ago and the food and the views continue to be outstanding. It was a special day too because it was Don and Jeanne's 39 wedding anniversary (now tied with us). Next we drove further west to the village of Cape Vincent. Our trip was parallel to the St. Lawrence and was very pretty. We continued on a couple of miles to the Tibbits Point Light House that marks the entry way from Lake Ontario to the St. Lawrence Seaway. Back to today's title. With us viewing Lake Ontario, we have now seen all five Great Lakes. You may remember last summer we took a Great Lakes tour but we had not seen Lake Ontario. So now we have been to Superior, Huron, Michigan, Erie AND Ontario. Thanks to Capt'n Don for coming up with today's blog title. Not finished yet. We all took a 2 hour 15 minute boat tour of the 1000 Islands from the state park where we are camping. It was a wonderful and calm evening for the ride that concluded with a great sunset. AND we haven't done it all yet. We still have two castles to go. We are here through Monday. Enjoy the pics.
