Another morning with sun but more clouds than yesterday.

I left the RV at 10:55AM and arrived at the Kenai Fjords Cruises parking lot at 11:00AM. The shuttle arrived a couple minutes later and took us to the office for check in that took just a couple minutes.

Our tour boat was the Nunatak. We started loading at 11:30AM and departed at 12 noon. Still quite a few low clouds and a cool breeze (we were traveling at 25 knots) even though the sun was breaking through. A little over an hour into the tour we stopped at Fox Island where a meal was served at the lodge if you signed up for it prior to leaving port. I did not sign up for the meal but those I observed seemed quite satisfied.

The day got warmer and the clouds lifted as the afternoon progressed. The mountain views along both sides of Resurrection Bay were great.

We saw whales, sea lions, bald eagles, porpoises, puffin, Bear Glacier, and some great scenery. At four hours and 30 minutes a very nice cruise and well worth the money. The tour narration was excellent and they tried to show us as much wildlife as possible.

2.1 SUV miles today.
